Sunanda Sharma reflects on Quranic verse that stayed with her

Indian singer Sunanda Sharma recently shared a personal moment during a podcast, recounting an insightful conversation she had with a close Muslim friend. According to the singer, a specific Quranic verse deeply resonated with her, offering a profound perspective on love, relationships, and self-reflection that has stayed with her. Known for songs like Jaani Tera Naa, Duji Vaar Pyar, Morni, and Pagal Nahi Hona, Sunanda explained how the verse speaks to a natural compatibility between people. She stated, "My friend one day depicted a beautiful teaching from the Quran in which Allah mentions that good women are for good men, and good men are for good women." https://ift.tt/3EI5wVk Sunanda shared that she felt the verse also implied a deeper psychological truth about human nature, stating, "Likewise, people with flaws often end up attracting others with similar shortcomings." She added that by "flaws" she did not mean a person’s morality or lack of character, but rather inherent emotional attributes and behavioural traits. Further, the singer noted, "We as humans have some shortcomings. For example, I can be someone that isn’t loyal to my partner, or I might be someone that has some other kind of shortcoming, so the people I will attract will have similar attributes or personalities."  According to Sunanda, true alignment is only possible when two people operate on the same wavelength. "I won't be able to attract someone that has other values or a different personality, because you are more likely to connect with partners who reflect those same values," she said. The singer shared that she viewed this not as a punishment, but as a journey toward self-betterment. Finding the right alignment, the singer said, involves navigating emotional hurdles, with the process being ultimately transformative. "Eventually you will find them. Before that, you might find a lot of struggle or hardship, but these obstacles and heartbreaks will shape you into a better version of yourself," she stated.
