I ignore cheap banter: Gohar Rasheed on tackling colourism and trolls

Jumping on the popular Instagram trend, Pakistani actor Gohar Rasheed delighted fans by holding a spontaneous 'Sunday Funday - Ask Me Anything’ session. Known for essaying critically acclaimed roles in 2022 film The Legend of Maula Jatt and TV series Jannat Se Aagay, Gohar candidly indulged queries about his personal life and upcoming projects. When prompted by a fan about how he deals with targeted remarks on his skin, Gohar offered a forthright rebuttal, stating, “You tolerate when you acknowledge; I only ignore negativity and cheap banter.”  Another fan asked the actor if he had any future projects lined up with Sajal Aly to which he responded, “No nothing right now, but you guys need to understand one thing: for actors like us, if we’re supposed to work together then a lot of things need to make sense like well-written script, good characters, visionary directors, good production house…but it’s not impossible.” Resharing the Instagram Story, Sajal commented, “Khuda k ghar mein dair hai andhair nahi. And we’ve actually worked together on a very special project. Remember Gohar?” The Jindo actor shared a cryptic yes in response. Gohar was also asked to share one veteran actor he would love to work with to which he replied “Noman Ijaz”.  In another question, the celeb named Nadia Jamil as one female actor he has worked with but would love to share the screen with again. Nadia expressed her delight by tagging Gohar in her Insta Story with an animated response, penning, “Done done done! Manifesting! And still writing a film for you!” Co-star and close friend, Kubra Khan, also entered the conversation when one fan asked Gohar to share his experience of working with her in Jannat Se Aagay. “I got to learn so much from her and her craft, she is so natural with her acting and it was an amazing experience. I am lucky to have a friend like her in my life,” he replied earnestly. Further relaying his appreciation, he shared a post about Kubra’s upcoming film on his Story, titled Abhi, with actor Gohar Mumtaz.  Have something to add to the story?
