Forced me to open up my horizon of thinking: Virat Kohli on how Anushka Sharma changed his mindset

Celebrated Indian cricketer Virat Kohli recently opened up about the transformative impact of his relationship with Bollywood star Anushka Sharma. In an interview with Wrogn, Kohli discussed his responsibility as a public figure to champion crucial issues, attributing his shift in perspective to meeting Sharma. The ace cricketer emphasised the significance of accepting and integrating the individuality and autonomy of one's life partner, particularly when they possess their own established identity. He highlighted the need to adapt to this reality, explaining that his upbringing did not initially include such concepts. “When they have a standing of their own, you have to accept it and process it into your system, which is something we didn't grow up with,” shared Kohli.  According to the cricketer, Sharma's influence challenged him to broaden his thinking horizons, allowing him to recognise the diverse ways in which life can be lived. Through conversations with Sharma, he gained insights into a woman's perspective, altering his outlook and understanding. "It forced me to open up my horizon of thinking," he stated. The couple's strong bond was evident when Sharma wholeheartedly supported Kohli when India took on Pakistan in the World Cup match. Clad in white, she passionately cheered from the stands, displaying unwavering encouragement for her husband. The duo later celebrated the team's victory together at the hotel. While the Indian cricket team maintains its leading position in the World Cup, fans await the tournament's crucial knockout games, hoping for a successful triumph. On the professional front, Sharma is involved in the film Chakda Xpress, a biopic centred around cricketer Jhulan Goswami. The duo's relationship continues to captivate the public, setting an example of mutual support and admiration between two high-profile figures from the sports and entertainment worlds. Sharing a nearly six-year marriage, the couple share a daughter named Vamika. In a 2019 Filmfare interview Sharma was questioned about not signing any film after her wedding with Virat. “That’s a conscious decision," the actor explained. "I wanted to take a couple of months off after Zero. After I got married, it was like a whirlwind. I was back on the sets shooting for Sui Dhaaga: Made In India and later Zero. I was just working back-to-back. Whatever time I’d get, I’d try to balance and meet Virat. But I was feeling too worked up. I told my team I don’t even want to read anything right now.”  The star went on to reveal to Vogue later that during the first six months of her marriage, she only spent 21 days with Kohli. Recently, reports of Sharma's alleged second pregnancy have sparked excitement, though the couple has yet to confirm the news officially. Sources, such as Hindustan Times, reported the news. As per the Hindustan Times' source, the couple was reportedly spotted at a maternity clinic in Mumbai, with requests to the paparazzi for privacy and an implicit promise to make an announcement when they are ready. The source revealed, “They requested the paparazzi to not publish their pictures, with a promise to make an announcement soon.” The love story between Sharma and Kohli has captured the hearts of many since their intimate wedding ceremony in Italy in 2017. Amidst recent speculation about their growing family, Sharma shed light on her journey into motherhood. In an interview with Grazia India, she shared insights into balancing her career, particularly during the filming of Chakda Xpress, which marked her return to work post-pregnancy.
